Pleasant Lake― North Oaks ―
Our favorite project is for a private client in North Oaks. She is from Ireland and wanted a formal, traditional Irish walling old look to complement her beautiful gardens. Since we specialize in this ancient craft, trained by those from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, it seemed appropriate we would be actualizing the design and construction of this backyard outdoor entertaining project.
The traditional drystone craftsmanship was applied to a New York/Pennsylvania Limestone named Bluestone for its blueish color. We included some worn Fieldstone looking stone called “River Jacks” and coped with a thermal-finish Bluestone. This was a full service landscape, entire backyard project that included a pergola, patio, BBQ, outdoor kitchen, seating wall with columns, water feature, and of course the stone arch outdoor fireplace. The water feature is a dry-laid stone sculpture shaped like an acorn appropriately for the neighborhood. The arches over the wood boxes are a full stone traditional method used for centuries.
